Tutor description: I was born and raised in the United States until I moved to Slovakia in 2023. I have both a university degree in Biology and a CELTA, and I am happy to have been able to use them both to make a living. I am happy in Bratislava and spend part of my time teaching English at a private language school or teaching English online .

Topics and areas of tutoring: I mostly teach general English to adults but I also have some experience teaching business English and helping students prepare resumes, as well as for job interviews. Due to my background, I also have a strong knowledge of STEM and science vocabulary.

I love using real-life material, like videos and current news, in my lessons because it teaches 'real-life English' that goes beyond the classroom. I've also learned two languages as an adult, so I understand how my students feel when they are struggling and know how to help them succeed.
